RAJSHAHI, Nov 21, 2025 (BSS) - A two-day IEEE International Conference on Signal Processing, Information, Communication and Systems (SPICSCON 2025) began at Rajshahi University (RU) here today.
 
Bangladesh Section of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Bangladesh Chapter of Student Placement Service (SPS) are jointly hosting the international event aimed at providing a platform for researchers and scholars in signal processing, information, communication and systems to share their work and to foster collaboration.

It also aims to promote the development of new technologies and address challenges in these fields, with accepted papers submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore.

Exchanging research findings on theoretical and practical problems, hosting keynote talks by leading experts, showcasing projects, and conducting tutorials are the main objectives of the event.

RU Vice-chancellor Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib addressed the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest with Chairman of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering Prof Halida Humaira in the chair at the lecture gallery of the Engineering faculty.

Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Mayeen Uddin and Prof Farid Uddin Khan also spoke.

Prof Saleh Hassan Naquib said the event will serve as a platform for researchers, engineers, and students to present and discuss their latest innovations, trends, and challenges.

It will foster collaboration among academics and researchers working in the fields of signal processing, information technology, communications, and systems.

He urged the participating researchers and scientists to disseminate new research findings and knowledge, with accepted papers submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore digital library. 

As a whole, the conference will host high-quality technical sessions for the presentation of new research and technical work and to feature keynote and invited talks from renowned researchers to provide insights into the latest developments.
