DHAKA, Nov 20, 2025 (BSS)- The Department of Philosophy of Dhaka University 
(DU) and Govinda Dev Centre for Philosophical Research (officially the Dev 
Centre for Philosophical Studies) and the Centre for Moral Development today 
jointly celebrated World Philosophy Day-2025 today with a daylong programme.

The programme featured a rally, a discussion and a debate.

Chairman of the Philosophy Department Professor Md Nuruzzaman presided over 
the discussion.

DU Arts faculty Dean Prof. Dr Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan, Director of the 
Centre for Moral Development Prof A K M Yunus and faculty member Prof Shah 
Kawser Mustafa Abul Ulayi spoke at the event.

Prof Mohammad Daud Khan presented the keynote paper titled "The Ethical and 
Logical Basis of Sustainable Business" while Associate Prof Dr Tahmina Yasmin 
Shova delivered the welcome address.
