Sharmeen asks ministry officials to work efficiently upholding July spirit

DHAKA, Nov 19, 2025 (BSS) - Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S. Murshid today asked the officers and employees of her ministry to work efficiently from their respective positions upholding the spirit of July mass uprising.

She gave the directives while speaking at a views-exchange meeting with officers and employees at the Department of Women Affairs here.

Noting that girls played a vital role in the July mass uprising, Sharmeen said, "Remembering their sacrifice, we must remain committed to justice, avoiding corruption and negligence in our duties."

Earlier, the adviser inspected the premises of the Department of Women Affairs and gave necessary directives to the officials and employees.

Newly appointed Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Department of Women Affairs Zinat Ara, Director (Joint Secretary) Naima Hossain, National Project Director (Green Climate Fund) Md. Abdul Hai Al Mahmud, Additional Director Md. Monir Hossain were present, among others.
