DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for postal voting registration for Bangladeshi expatriates residing in 148 countries ahead of the 13th parliamentary election. 

The registration process will be conducted regionally in phases.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin inaugurated the 'Postal Vote BD' app at a ceremony at Nirbachon Bhaban in Agargaon today, according to an EC release.

The registration for expatriate voters will start on Wednesday for Bangladeshis living in East Asia, Africa, and South America and will continue until November 23.

Expatriates residing in North America and Oceania can register between November 24 and 28, while those in Europe will be able to register from November 21 to December 3.

Bangladeshi voters living in Saudi Arabia can register for postal voting from December 4 to 8. 

Expatriates in South Asia and South-East Asia can register between December 9 and 13. Voters in other Middle Eastern countries, excluding Saudi Arabia can submit their registrations from December 14 to 18.

Postal voting is available for Bangladeshi citizens living abroad, officials and employees involved in polling duties, government employees residing outside their designated areas and voters under legal custody.
