DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman today congratulated the Bangladesh Football Team for defeating India in the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers at the Dhaka National Stadium.

In a post on his verified Facebook page, Tarique Rahman said, "After 22 years, Bangladesh's win over India today on the football field reminded us all of what can be achieved through discipline, unity, and belief."

He praised Sheikh Morsalin's early goal and the team's determination, saying their performance has renewed hope among millions of Bangladeshis regarding the country's sports future.

The acting chairman added that the footballers serve as an inspiration to the nation's youth and as ambassadors of Bangladeshi sports culture. 

He expressed optimism for a brighter future where talent is nurtured, dreams are supported, and the national flag continues to rise higher.
