DHAKA, Nov18, 2025(BSS) - Adviser to the ministries of Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Sharmeen S. Murshid today said through construction of the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation building, the legacy and contributions of the July mass uprising will be preserved and July fighters will remain alive forever.
Both male and female fighters during student-led July mass uprising are entitled to visit the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation and they will get all possible assistances, she said here, an official releases said.
The adviser made the comments while addressing at the handing over ceremony of a government-allocated land to the ‘July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation’ in city’s Bijoynagar area here as chief guest.
In response to a question from the journalists, the Adviser said that the nation will remember them with gratitude for their sacrifices and contributions to save the country from the deep-rooted fascism.
She stated that everyone should be committed to fulfilling the goals of building a country free from fascism.
She also said that those who will come to power after the election should stand beside the July fighters and help them achieve their long-cherished aims.
She added that a building for the July Foundation will be constructed on the land allocated for it, and from today this land will give the Foundation a strong footing and stability.
Secretary to the ministry of Housing and Public Works Md. Nazrul Islam, Senior Secretary to the ministry of Land A.S.M. Saleh Ahmed, former Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Tanvir Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of the July Martyrs’ Memorial Foundation Lieutenant Colonel (Rtd.) Kamal Akbar and other officials concerned were present at the function.
