DHAKA, Nov 18, 2025 (BSS) - People have been urged to wear masks to reduce health risks amid rising air pollution.

Authorities have also advised all concerned to keep construction materials covered and refrain from burning solid waste in order to help prevent air and dust pollution, said an official handout.

The handout said that emitting harmful smoke from vehicles is a punishable offence.

To protect citizens from air pollution, the government will take strict action against unfit vehicles that emit black smoke, it added.
