CHATTOGRAM, Nov 14, 2025 (BSS) - Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia's oldest and largest public university, to promote mutual cooperation in education and research.
The agreement was signed during the visit of CVASU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman to Indonesia on November 7, according to a press release issued today.
Prof Dr Mohammad Lutfur Rahman and Prof Dr Teguh Budipitojo, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UGM, inked the five-year agreement on behalf of their respective institutions.
Under the agreement, which is set to begin implementation in 2026 and may be renewed thereafter, students from both universities will have opportunities to study at the partner institution, particularly at the internship level. In the upcoming year, 15 fifth-year CVASU students will intern at UGM for a month, while 10 third-year UGM students will intern at CVASU for a month. UGM will also provide full scholarships for two CVASU students to pursue MS degrees and one student for a PhD degree.
The MoU further includes initiatives to strengthen education and research, including exchanges of students, teachers, and researchers, joint research projects, collaborative lectures, conferences, seminars, and symposia, as well as sharing academic information and materials.
