DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) –A day-long national conference was held today at the Dhaka University (DU) to evaluate the experience and role of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in ensuring the quality and the development of higher education in the universities of the country.
The conference titled ‘Development of Higher Education Quality: IQAC’s ruling experience in Bangladeshi universities’ was held at the Prof. Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom of the university this morning.
Arranged by DU IQAC, the conference was joined by the representatives from country’s public and private universities.
DU pro-vice chancellor (Admin) Prof. Sayema Haque Bidisha joined the conference as the chief guest with DU IQAC director Dr. M Rezaul Islam in the chair.
DU pro vice chancellor (Education) prof. Mamum Ahmed and treasurer Prof. M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury joined the conference as special guests.
IQAC director and ULAB acting VC Prof. Jude William Genilo and Dr. Md Saiful Islam jointly presented the main article at the conference.
Addressing as the chief guest, Prof. Sayema stressed the need for skilled management and digitalization besides intensified quality of classroom education to ensure quality higher education.
He also called on stakeholders to work together to develop the quality education.
Prof. Mamun also echoed the same urging boosting up student by instilling moral education and social responsibility among them.
