Digital technology training concludes at Bangladesh Korea Institute of ICT

DHAKA, Nov 13, 2025 (BSS) - The 'Digital Lab Establishment Project in Educational Institutions' of the Department of Information and Communication Technology has opened a new horizon with the aim of building a technology-based knowledge-rich Bangladesh in the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. 

The first batch of the TOT training programme on 'Frontier Technology', which started as part of this initiative, concluded today. The training is being conducted by Bangladesh Korea Institute of ICT (BKIICT), BCC.

The five-day training programme from November 9 to 13 was inaugurated by Md Abu Sayed, Executive Director and Additional Secretary of the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC). Project Director Md Lokman Hossain was present.

As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed recently between BKIICT and the 'Digital Lab Establishment Project in Educational Institutions', a total of 1,200 officials of the Department of ICT and the Ministry of Education will receive training on 'Frontier Technology'.

Participants in this training are receiving hands-on training in artificial intelligence, robotics, blockchain, drones, 3D printing, nanotechnology and cybersecurity. The trained officers will later play a role in running digital labs in secondary schools across the country and introducing students to modern technology.
