New Bangladesh to be built with power of youths: Sharmeen Murshid

DHAKA, Nov 8, 2025 (BSS) – Social Welfare and Women and Children Affairs Adviser Sharmeen S Murshid today praised the youth for their resilience and leadership and said they would build a “New Bangladesh” with utilizing the power of young generation. 
  
“Amid the hardships of the July Uprising, I see new leadership in the wounded faces of the youth. We will build a new Bangladesh by developing the power of the young society,” she said. 

She made the remarks after inaugurating a youth rally titled “Involvement of the Youth Community in the Protection of Children and Women”at the auditorium of Bangladesh Film Archive at Agargaon in the capital, said a press release.  

A local youth delegation officially began its journey today from Dhaka to combat child and women abuse across Bangladesh through the inauguration. 

Murshid emphasized that the young generation represents today’s freedom fighters and called for a united effort to build a humane, equal, and violence-free nation. 

“We will create a state where power means love and responsibility means service. From homes to workplaces and cyberspace, we will ensure the safety of women and children everywhere,” she said.

The event was organized in collaboration with Nirapad Alliance and Dreams on the Way. 

Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs Dr. Prakash Kanti Chowdhury, Nirapad Alliance Vice Chairman Barrister Tahmidur Rahman, General Secretary Hatim Sadab Liyan, Treasurer Masum Muhammad, AGM Bayzid, Kotha Bolo Nari founder Narayan Nusrat Haque, and July Warrior Tamim, among others, spoke at the event.
