Tawki, an A-level student who had achieved the world’s highest marks in Chemistry and Physics, went missing on March 6, 2013 from Narayanganj.
Two days later, police recovered his body from the Kumudini canal of the Shitalakshya River.
Tawki’s father, Rafiur Rabbi, alleged that his son was abducted and murdered at the instruction of the then Member of Parliament Shamim Osman.
He claimed that Tawki was tortured and killed in a “torture cell” run by Shamim’s nephew, Azmeri Osman.
