DHAKA, Oct 31, 2025 (BSS)- BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called upon the Interim Government to provide a proper solution to the problem arising from the July National Charter recently.
"My appeal to the government is that what has happened is past. Please, be kind enough to resolve the issues so that we can all proceed toward the election together. Let us move forward on the path of resolving the problems so that we can work for the welfare of the people," he said.
Fakhrul made the remarks in a discussion marking the 5th Conference of Ganosanhati Andolan held at Engineering Institute auditorium here today.
Chief coordinator of the Ganosanhati Andolan Zonayed Saki presided over the event while General Secretary of the Biplobi Workers Party Saiful Haque, Amar Bangladesh (AB) Party chairman Mojibur Rahman Monju and Nagarik Oikya president Mahamudur Rahman Manna, spoke, among others, on the occasion.
Fakhrul Islam said, “As we were with you in the past, we will be with you in the future. I believe that the crisis that has been created today regarding the Interim Government and the Consensus Commission will be resolved.”
“People of this country never accepted defeat in the past and they will not accept any defeat in the future," he added.
Calling for unity, Mirza Fakhrul said, "We must always remember that the country is ours and the people are ours. Therefore, all conspiracies against the country and people must be resisted collectively.”
He said, “We may belong to different parties and have different opinions and different paths. But as far as the national interests are concern we are all united.”
