DHAKA, Oct 30, 2025 (BSS) - In presence of Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan were inducted into the prestigious “Hall of Fame” today at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA) at Bhatiari in Chattogram.
The “Hall of Fame” is a traditional and highest honor conferred upon individuals in recognition of their outstanding contributions in a particular field, said an ISPR release.
For the first time, alongside former Chiefs of Army Staff, the current Chiefs of Naval and Air Staff have been accorded this rare honor as Chiefs of their respective forces. The spouses of the Navy and Air Force Chiefs were also present at the ceremony.
Having illustrious military careers, both the Navy and Air Force Chiefs participated in the 2nd Joint Service Training at BMA in 1984 as part of the 13th BMA Long Course. After completing the 10-week Joint Service Training, they were commissioned from their respective academies in 1986.
Admiral M Nazmul Hassan assumed office as the 17th Chief of Naval Staff on July 24, 2023, while Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan took charge as the 17th Chief of Air Staff on June 11, 2024.
Earlier, seven Chiefs of Army Staff had been inducted into the prestigious BMA “Hall of Fame.”
Among others, GOC ARTDOC; GOC 24 Infantry Division; Commandant, BMA; Commandant, EBRC; Chairman, Tea Board; Chairman, CPA; COMCHIT; COMBAN; ASD; AOC, BAF Zahur; Air Secretary; and senior officers and officers of various ranks from the Army, Navy, and Air Force were present at the ceremony.
