Institution heads directed to submit October MPO bills by October 27

DHAKA, Oct 26, 2025 (BSS) - The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has instructed all heads of secondary and higher educational institutions across the country to submit their respective institutions' Monthly Pay Order (MPO) bills for October by October 27.

The directive was issued today through an official notification signed by DSHE Director (College and Administration) Professor B. M. Abdul Hannan.

According to the notification, MPO payments for teachers and employees under the directorate have been disbursed through the Government Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) system since January 2025 and directly deposited into the respective bank accounts of teachers and employees up to July 2025.

From August 2025 onwards, the submission and verification process of MPO data has been made fully online. Institutional heads are required to log in to the DSHE portal (www.emis.gov.bd) using their assigned ID and password to verify and submit MPO data for all eligible teachers and staff.

Following the provided guidelines, each institution head must accurately calculate and submit the payable MPO amount for every teacher and employee individually. Based on the data submitted, MPO funds will be transferred to the respective bank accounts through the EFT system.

If any teacher or staff member listed in the MPO register has died, resigned, been suspended, or have remained absent without approval, the head of the institution must determine the payable amount in accordance with the rules while submitting the bill.

The information submitted by the heads of institutions will be considered final for MPO disbursement. In case of any MPO payment failure due to incorrect information, the responsibility will rest with the respective head of the institution.

In this regard, all heads of educational institutions under DSHE have been requested to log in to the designated portal (www.emis.gov.bd) and submit the MPO bills for October 2025 by October 27.
