DUCSU General Secretary (GS) SM Farhad made this announcement at a press conference in front of the DUCSU building this afternoon.
The First Aid Boot camp training program will include Basic Life Support (BLS), first aid for choking, fainting, fracture, burn, food poisoning, snake bite, self-hygiene, female self hygiene, first aid for eye injuries, and first aid for dengue prevention.
DUCSU GS SM Farhad said students at the primary education level are given academic first aid training in developed countries but there have been no such facilities in our country.
“To overcome this problem, we have taken initiatives to train students with first aid and emergency situation heeling,” he said.
"We are taking several major steps to improve the Dhaka University Medical Centre. Our main goal is to modernize the medical centre."
DUCSU Health and Environment Secretary MM Al Minhaj said, "Initially, we will bring some students under this training in each hall. They will be selected during the registration process.”
“We will organize this training in Salimullah Muslim Hall and Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall on October 25. We want every student to receive medical care before going to the hospital in any emergency," he added.
