DHAKA, Oct 05, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) is scheduled to hold important dialogues with media personalities, election experts, and women leaders on Monday and Tuesday as part of its preparations for the upcoming 13th national parliamentary elections.
The main objective of this extensive consultation process is to gather the necessary opinions and suggestions from stakeholders to ensure the smooth and safe exercise of voting rights in a free, fair, peaceful, and festive atmosphere.
The dialogues will be chaired by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin and be held at the EC Secretariat conference room at Agargaon area in the city.
Four election commissioners and senior officials of the EC secretariat will also be present.
The EC will hold dialogue with journalists of electronic media tomorrow from 10:30am to 12:30pm and print media journalists from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
Md Ruhul Amin Mallik, Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer of the EC Secretariat said that the commission is moving forward with these dialogues to incorporate input from journalists, election experts, and women leaders.
On Tuesday, the EC will hold meeting with election experts from 10:30am to 12:30pm and women leaders from 2:30pm to 4:30pm.
This latest round of talks is a continuation of the EC’s strategic efforts, which began on September 28 . The EC is seeking input from all relevant groups, including political parties, distinguished educators, intellectuals, civil society, observers, and ‘July fighters’.
