CUMILLA, Sept 07, 2025 (BSS) - The second convocation of Comilla University will be held on December 07.

“Students who passed from 2014-15 to 2019-20 academic years will have the opportunity to participate in this convocation,” university's Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof Dr. Mohammad Haider Ali told BSS today. 

As the representative of the President of the Republic, Interim Government’s Adviser to the Ministries of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources and Road Transport and Bridges and the Ministry of Railways Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, will attend the convocation as the chief guest, he added. 

The first convocation of Comilla University was held on January 27, 2020, where students of the 2013-14 sessions were included in that convocation. 

This year, the university authority has decided to include students from 2014-15 to 2019-20 academic years in the convocation. 

However, since it takes five years to complete a degree in the pharmacy department, the students of that department for the 2019-20 academic year won’t be attending this convocation.

In this regard, Pro-VC  Prof Dr Masuda Kamal said, "We have just got permission of the convocation but it is yet to finalize the list of participants here.”
