DHAKA, Aug 23, 2025 (BSS) - A high-level delegation from the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) met with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar at the Pakistan High Commission in the capital's Gulshan area today.
The meeting took place from 6:25pm to 7:15pm, followed by a dinner hosted in the evening, said Shairul Kabir Khan of the BNP media cell.
The BNP delegation was led by Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and included standing committee members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and Selima Rahman.
Former Home Minister and the party's Vice Chairman Altaf Hossain Chowdhury as well as BNP international affairs committee member Shama Obaid were also present.
On the Pakistani side, former High Commissioner Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, current High Commissioner Imran Haider, State Bank of Pakistan Governor Tariq Bajwa, Foreign Ministry Directors General Ilyas Mahmud Nizami and Muhammad Umair Latif, Director Dildar Ali Abro and Deputy Chief of Protocol Hafiz Ullah were present.
