DHAKA, July 30, 2025 (BSS) - Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed today asked the students to become laborious in life to achieve ultimate successes.
“There is nothing short-cut in life and you’ll have to become laborious. Then definitely success will come to you,” he said.
The finance adviser was addressing a function as the chief guest at the auditorium of the International Mother Language Institute in the capital.
The Greater Noakhali Welfare Samity, Dhaka accorded a reception to the meritorious students and eminent personalities of Greater Noakhali at the event.
Planning Adviser Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud spoke at the event as main discussant.
Noting that pursuing only academic education is not enough, Dr Salehuddin said the students would also have to learn from their lives and thus spread the light of education to others.
Putting emphasis on preserving the dialect of Noakhali for the future generation, the planning adviser listed a number of upcoming development schemes for the greater Noakhali region.
He informed that initiative has been taken to relaunch train service with Noakhali while Ferry service with Hatia will also launch within a month or two.
Dr Mahmud said that there is now no plan to construct an airport in Noakhali adding that the Noakhali-Cumilla regional highway should be upgraded into a national highway.
He also urged the students to ensure optimum utilization of their talents with hard labour to gain success in life.
Speaking on the occasion, NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan urged all including the students to uphold the national interest in their every activity.
He called upon the students to combine their relentless efforts with merit to reach their desired destinations.
Later, both the advisers distributed certificates among the meritorious students.
