BAU, Mymensingh, July 27, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) today began a 33-day basic training workshop for a total of 25 newly recruited teachers of 18 universities on its campus.
The inaugural session of this 32nd basic teachers’ training started at the BAU’s Graduate Training Institute (GTI) Training Room at 9:30 am. It will continue till August 28 next, said a release today.

It said a total of 25 teachers of 18 universities are taking part in the training course. The varsities include: Bangladesh Agricultural University, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Haji Mohammad Danesh University of Science and Technology, Pabna Science and Technology University and Bangladesh Maritime University.

Director of Graduate Training Institute (GTI) Professor Md Mozammel Haque chaired the inaugural session of the training course while Agriculture Faculty Dean Professor Dr GM Mujibur Rahman was present as the chief guest.

Among others, BAU students’ affairs adviser Professor Dr Md Shahidul Haque, Treasurer Prof Dr Humayun Kabir, Proctor Prof Dr Md Abdul Alim, Prof Dr Md Hammadur Rahman and Training Course Coordinator Prof Bentul Mawa, among others, were present there.

Speaking on the occasion, senior academics highlighted the training’s goals and importance for the new teachers urging them to properly utilize their training-expertise to help make them as global citizens in days to come.
