ABM Khairul Haque to jail in a case filed over the killing of Abdul Qaium
Ahad during the July-August mass uprising in the capital's Jatrabari area.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanaullah passed the order
after police produced the 80-year-old former chief justice before the court
and sought his detention until the investigation in the case is completed.

A team of the Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested Justice Khairul from
the capital's Dhanmondi area early this morning, Dhaka Metropolitan Police
(DMP) Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed.
