DHAKA, July 18, 2025 (BSS) - Film screening and drone show concluded with colorful arrangements on the anniversary of the July Uprising this evening in the capital's Hatirjheel Amphitheatre
Culutral Affairs Ministry organized events as part of the month-long July revival programme.
Private University Resistance Day was observed today with the event.
The programmme featured the screening of the films 'Heroes Without Capes: Private University in July' and 'You Failed to Kill Abrar Fahad'.
Then, the songs of July were performed. Artists Sezan, Tashfi and Sunny and the band- Rapper Collective and Artcell performed.
After the July songs, a 'drone show' based on the July Uprising and Prelude was displayed.
Members of the Advisory Council, secretaries and officials of various ministries, as well as a large number of students from private universities were present at the event.
Cultural Affairs Adviser Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Road Transport and Bridges, Railways, Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Education Adviser Professor Dr. Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar, Housing and Public Works and Industries Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam, Cultural Secretary Md. Mofidur Rahman, Housing and Public Works Secretary Md. Nazrul Islam, RAJUK Chairman Engineer Md. Riazul Islam, among others, were present.
Ambassadors of different missions stationed in Dhaka, Gano Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Noor, members of the families of martyrs and injured families in the July uprising, and VCs, ProVCs and proctors of various universities were also present.
