DHAKA, May 08, 2025 (BSS) – The newly appointed Bangladesh Ambassador to Lebanon, Major General Muhammad Zubair Salehin presented his credentials to Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun at the Presidential Palace in Lebanon Wednesday. 

Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji, senior officials of the Lebanese President's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were present, according to a message received here today.

After the presentation of credentials, the Bangladesh ambassador had a brief meeting with Lebanese president. 

During the meeting, the ambassador conveyed the greetings of Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus to the President of Lebanon. 

Lebanese President congratulated the newly appointed Ambassador of Bangladesh and assured all possible cooperation in discharging his duties. 

The President specifically mentioned the humanitarian assistance sent by the people of Bangladesh during the post-Beirut Port explosion disaster.

He also expressed his firm commitment to elevate the brotherly bilateral relations between Lebanon and Bangladesh to new heights.

The Ambassador spoke of the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries. 

He also stressed the importance of elevating bilateral relations to new heights and making them meaningful for the people of both countries. 

He mentioned that the Bangladesh government is firmly committed to working together with the Lebanese government.
