RAJSHAHI, Sept 1, 2026 (BSS)- The 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is being observed here today with various programmes organized by Rajshahi City BNP.

The programme was inaugurated by hoisting the national and party flags, followed by releasing pigeons and balloons with festoons.

Land Minister Mizanur Rahman Minu, MP, formally inaugurated the programme as the chief guest.

The programme began with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by Dua and Munajat.

Among others, BNP-nominated Member of Parliament from the reserved women's seat of Rajshahi and BNP leader Mahmuda Habiba, General Secretary of Rajshahi City BNP and Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation Mahfuzur Rahman Riton, Chairman of Rajshahi Zila Parishad Advocate Ershad Ali Isha, and former Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation Mohammad Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul were present.

Rajshahi Metropolitan BNP President Mamun Or Rashid Mamun presided over the programme.

Vice Presidents Aslam Sarkar, Waliul Haque Rana, Mukhtar Hossain and Joynal Abedin Shibly, Organizational Secretary Rabiul Alam Milu, and leaders of different levels of BNP's thana and ward units, as well as its affiliated and associate organizations, were also present.
