DHAKA, Dec 2, 2025 (BSS) - Security has been significantly heightened at Dhaka's Evercare Hospital, where BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment. 

Police installed a barricade at the hospital's main gate early today, and more than two dozen officers were deployed to manage crowds and ensure her safety.

Surrounding cabins on her fourth-floor unit have been vacated for security reasons.

Khaleda Zia, 80, has been receiving treatment in the CCU since being admitted on November 23 with heart and lung infections. 

A medical board of local and foreign specialists is monitoring her condition.
