JHENAIDAH, Jan 30, 2026 (BSS)- Former Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman has said all fears surrounding the upcoming 13th national parliament election has been dispelled as the polls slated for February 12 next is approaching.

“No conspiracy will succeed, the polls will be held on date in a fair and beautiful manner, InshaAllah” he said.

Addressing a roadside meeting at Lakshandia village in Shailkupa Upazila today he said there is no longer any doubt among people, voters and candidates about the election.

He also criticized a political party for using religious sentiment of the people to woo their votes.

Asaduzzaman alleged that “Female workers of that party are going around seeking votes while holding the Holy Quran in front of them saying that casting votes for them will ensure their access to heaven.”

“Such statements will not help them to secure votes, and such promise is a violation of the electoral code of conduct and existing law.”

Earlier in the day, Asaduzzaman held road meetings in several villages of the upazila, including Mingram and Abaipur.

Local BNP leaders were with him during the electioneering.
