Remittance inflows reach US$30.32b in FY25: Minister

SANGSAD BHABAN, June 23, 2026 (BSS) – Expatriates sent a total of US$30.328 billion in remittances to Bangladesh during the fiscal year 2024-25, said Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Ariful Haque Chowdhury in Parliament today.

The minister disclosed the information in response to a written question placed by ruling party lawmaker Selina Sultana from a reserved women’s seat.

According to the minister, Bangladesh received US$30,328.81 million, or US$30.32 billion, in remittances during the fiscal year, reflecting the continued contribution of Bangladeshi expatriate workers to the national economy.

The minister also listed the major remittance-sending countries. The list include - Saudi Arabia, the United States, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Italy, Kuwait, Qatar, Singapore, Bahrain, South Africa, France, South Korea, Greece, Jordan, Australia, Canada, the Maldives, Mauritius, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Lebanon, Brunei Darussalam, Japan, Iraq, Poland, Sweden and Cyprus.
