Students witness budget session at JS

SANGSAD BHABAN, June 10, 2026 (BSS) – School and college students from two educational institutions in the capital and outside the capital today enjoyed the parliamentary proceedings of the first budget session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) sitting in a gallery in the House.
A total of 70 students from the two institutions got the opportunity to witness the proceedings of the fourth sitting of the current session. 

Around 1:45 pm, 30 students from Classes-XI and XII of Habib Ullah Degree College in Bhedarganj Upazila of Shariatpur district and 40 students from different classes of Chetona Model Academy at Mirpur in the city arrived at the Sangsad Bhaban.

During their visit, the students toured the architectural facilities of the Sangsad Bhaban complex  and later had lunch at the cafeteria here.

When the budget session resumed at 3:00 pm, they witnessed the day's proceedings from the Bir Shreshtha Mohammad Ruhul Amin Gallery of the Jatiya Sangsad. They were accompanied by five teachers from Habib Ullah Degree College and three teachers from Chetona Model Academy.

Under the initiative of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon, students from different schools, colleges and universities are being given the opportunity to observe parliamentary proceedings. 

As part of this ongoing programme, students from different educational institutions are being given the opportunity to observe parliamentary sessions sitting in the gallery.
