SANGSAD BHABAN, April 27, 2026 (BSS) - The government is planning to
undertake and implement six new projects in addition to ongoing programmes in
the fiscal year 2025-26 under the Department of Youth Development to create
employment opportunities for unemployed youths.
State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque disclosed this
information in Parliament today while responding to a starred tabled question
placed by opposition member Md. Moktar Ali of Jashore-6 constituency.
The State Minister said the new initiatives have been designed to reduce
unemployment by enhancing skills and promoting self-employment among the
youth.
He said the six proposed projects include: Driving Training Project (2nd
Phase); Strengthening Training Activities at Upazila Level for Employment and
Self-employment Creation (2nd Phase); Caregiver Development Project for
providing services to physically and mentally challenged citizens;
Freelancing Training Programme for unemployed youth in all metropolitan
cities; Employment generation through mobile servicing and language training
at home and abroad; and Employment generation through caregiving and foreign
language training both domestically and internationally.
He further said that implementation of these projects would help transform
young people into skilled human resources, expand self-employment
opportunities, and increase their participation in both domestic and global
labour markets.
