BSS: What are your election promises for the voters in your constituency?
Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury: We have gained a "New Bangladesh" through the July Revolution following independence. My main goal is to build a beautiful society, and I will play a proactive role in making the state and society free from corruption. During my previous short tenure as a Member of Parliament (elected in the 2005 by-election), I initiated various development activities but could not complete them all due to time constraints. If elected this time, I promise to finish those incomplete works.
BSS: What instructions have you given to your activists regarding the electoral code of conduct?
Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury: I have instructed all leaders and activists to strictly follow the code of conduct to ensure a model and fair election. We have provided training to our workers on their responsibilities at polling stations and the importance of respecting government regulations and rules during the election process.
BSS: What is your stance on the referendum regarding the "July Charter"?
Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury: The July Charter is a vital issue and holds great significance for this election. We are actively campaigning for a 'Yes' vote in the referendum.
BSS: What are your expectations for the upcoming 13th national election?
Shahinur Pasha Chowdhury: People were unable to cast their votes in 2014 and 2018, to the point where many had forgotten the essence of voting. I expect that on February 12, voters will be able to cast their vote spontaneously and freely.
