BEIJING, May 20, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Russian President Vladimir Putin told Chinese leader Xi Jinping that relations between their two countries have reached an "unprecedentedly high level", as the two leaders met in Beijing on Wednesday.

"Today our relations have reached an unprecedentedly high level, serving as a model of truly comprehensive partnership and strategic cooperation," Putin told Xi, video from Russian media showed.
