MOSCOW, May 17, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Russian air defences intercepted more than 550 drones from Ukraine overnight, the defence ministry said on Sunday.

"Air defence duty assets intercepted and destroyed 556 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles" over more than a dozen regions, the Russian Ministry of Defence posted on social media.
