DUBAI, May 5, 2026 (BSs/AFP) - The United Arab Emirates said Tuesday its air defences were engaging missiles and drones coming from Iran for the second day in a row, weeks into a fragile ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

"UAE Air defence systems are actively engaging with missiles and UAV threats," the ministry of defence said in a statement on X, adding they had "come from Iran".
