VIENNA, May 4, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Austria on Monday said it had expelled three Russian embassy staff on suspicion of spying, with the foreign minister vowing a "change in course" and a crackdown on espionage.

In a statement sent to AFP, the foreign ministry confirmed a report by ORF that three Russian embassy staff have been expelled. The public broadcaster said installations on the Russian embassy roof could be used to spy on Vienna-based international organisations.
