JAKARTA, April 28, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - The death toll from an overnight collision between two passenger trains outside Jakarta has doubled to 14, the state-owned KAI rail company said on Tuesday.

"Based on the latest data as of 08:45 WIB (0145 GMT), 14 people have been confirmed dead," it said in a statement. Another 84 people received hospital treatment.
