BEIRUT, Lebanon, April 5, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - Israel struck a building in south Beirut on Sunday after issuing an evacuation warning, Lebanese state media reported, as the Israeli military said it was hitting Hezbollah targets.

"The enemy targeted the threatened building in the Ghobeiry area towards Bir Hassan-Jnah," Lebanon's state-run National News Agency reported.

An AFP photographer saw a missile hit a building and Israeli warplanes flying at low altitude over the capital.
