BEIJING, Feb 25, 2026 (BSS/AFP) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said on Wednesday he wanted "fair" cooperation with China, as he began his inaugural visit to his country's largest trade partner.

"We have very specific concerns regarding our cooperation, which we want to improve and make fair," Merz said as he met with China's Premier Li Qiang at Beijing's Great Hall of the People.
