WASHINGTON, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - The US government has halted immigration applications for citizens from 19 nations, said an official memorandum released on Tuesday, marking a deepening of the nation's sweeping crackdown on immigration.

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services has paused green card and citizenship processing, according to the memo, for nationals of countries that were already subject to travel restrictions announced by President Donald Trump in June.
