RAJSHAHI, June 30, 2025 (BSS) - Farida Parvin, a young talented women's
footballer, can be inspiration for new comers in women's football.
Farida, who hailed from Rajshahi district, came into attention, following her
impressive performance in the U-19 National Football Gold Cup Tournament
final held in June 19 last at National Stadium in Dhaka. Under her
leadership, Rajhahi won the U-19 girl's tournament title defeating Mymensingh
divisional girl's team by 3-0 goals.
She received the trophy and gold medal from Youth and Sports Adviser Asif
Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan.
According to her family sources, when Farida was in class five, her class
teachers inspired her to play sports and advised her to concentrate hard.
From there, Farida's tireless work and the beginning of fulfilling her dreams
began. She has achieved success by participating in sports at various club
levels. She has received more than a hundred awards in total for his
extraordinary contributions to sports.
Farida's sporting life however was not a happy one at all. Despite receiving
support from her family, she had to face harsh words from her neighbors. But
even then, Farida did not give up her hope. She was steadfast in her goal and
still she is running towards fulfilling her dream. The "National Gold Cup
Football Tournament 2024" has been an auspicious beginning of her career to
take her dream to the place.
She has achieved the glory of becoming a champion by leading the Rajshahi
divisional team with her talent. Farida is the youngest of three sisters. She
is the youngest daughter of her father Mujibur Rahman and mother Goyna Bibi.
Talking to BSS, footballer Farida sought cooperation and support to all to
help fulfill her dream because her only dream is now play for the national
team in the future.
The talented booters said she wants to bring fame and honor to her area and
country by playing football, being a girl of a poor family she is facing
difficulty to play football properly.
Farida however hoped that her dream to play for the national would come true
in a day.
