RANGPUR, Sept 12, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 has recovered 17 rounds of abandoned bullets and cartridges from the bank of a pond in Rashidpur village under Mithapukur police station of the district early this morning. 
 
On a tip off, a team of the RAB-13's Crime Prevention Specialised Company (CPSC) from Rangpur conducted a raid in the area and recovered the bullets and cartridges from the spot in an abandoned state at 1:40 am.
 
"The recovered ammunition includes eight rounds of lead-ball shotgun cartridges, eight rounds of rubber shotgun cartridges and one round of live 7.62mm rifle ammunition," said a RAB-13 press release.
 
Later, the recovered bullets, cartridges were handed over to Mithapukur police station on the basis of a general diary (GD) filed today for further legal action.
