KHULNA, August 26, 2026 (BSS) - RAB-6, Special Company, has arrested a top-listed criminal of Khulna metropolitan city, Momi, along with three of his associates.

According to a press release, a team of the Special Company conducted a special operation based on secret information at around 6:50am today.

The elite force raided the tin-shed rented house of Shipon Sardar at Jafar Sheikh’s premises on Tarun Sena Road in Dattabari area under Daulatpur Police Station and arrested Momi and his three associates.

The arrestees were identified as Md Mehedi Hasan Momi, 23, son of deceased Shamim Zamdder, Jamil Hossain, 30, son of Nasir Uddin, and Sujoy Roy, 25, son of Bimal Roy. 

Reviewing their previous criminal records, RAB said multiple cases had been filed against Momi and his associates with different police stations in Khulna metropolitan area on charges including under the Arms Act, narcotics, attempted murder and theft.

The arrested persons will be handed over to Daulatpur Police Station under Khulna Metropolitan Police for further legal action, RAB-6 said.
