KHULNA, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) – Senior leaders of Khulna city BNP have visited three hospitals in the city to assess the dengue situation and treatment facilities for patients amid a worsening outbreak.

A special delegation, led by Khulna City BNP President and Khulna Development Authority (KDA) Chairman Advocate Shafiqul Alam Mona, visited the hospitals in the afternoon.

The delegation first visited Khulna 250-bed General Hospital and later Khulna Shishu Hospital.

During the visits, they spent time with dengue patients and children undergoing treatment and inquired about their health conditions.

They also held discussions with hospital authorities regarding the availability of designated beds for dengue patients, necessary medicines, saline and laboratory testing facilities.

The leaders urged the authorities concerned to ensure that no patient suffers due to a lack of essential treatment or support.

Leaders and activists of Khulna City BNP, Doctors’ Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal, Jatiyatabadi Swechchhasebak Dal and other associate bodies accompanied the delegation during the visits.
