RANGAMATI, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) - Bicycles and uniforms were distributed today among 46 village police personnel working in five unions of Kaptai upazila in the district.

Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Rayhanul Islam distributed the items among the village police personnel at the upazila parishad premises under an initiative of the upazila administration.

Kaptai Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nelly Rudra, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Syed Mahmud Hasan, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Farhad Hossain, Kaptai Press Club General Secretary Jhulan Dutta and others attended the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, UNO Md Rayhanul Islam said the government is providing bicycles and various clothing items to help village police personnel perform their duties more effectively.

He urged the village police members to discharge their responsibilities properly in the interest of public welfare.
