MANIKGANJ, Aug 22, 2026 (BSS) - Valiant Freedom Fighter and former Headmaster of Kafatia High School Md Asor Uddin died of old age complications at Dhaka Police Hospital today. He was 80.

He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives, friends and well-wishers.

The freedom fighter was laid to rest at his family graveyard with state honours this evening.

Government officials, fellow freedom fighters and people from different walks of life attended his Janaza and paid their last respects to him.
