RAJSHAHI, Aug 19, 2026 (BSS) - Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir today called on police officers to stand by children with empathy, trust and sensitivity, particularly those who have experienced trauma.
“If we can create a sense of security in a child’s mind, the child will be able to speak freely, making it possible to learn what actually happened,” he said.
Therefore, he said, there is no alternative to ensuring that police officers who work with children are humane, patient and sensitive.
RMP Commissioner Faizul Kabir made the remarks while inaugurating a daylong training programme on psychosocial care for police officers here today as the chief guest.
The RMP and World Vision Bangladesh’s Rajshahi City Area Development Programme jointly organised the training at the POM Conference Room of the Police Lines.
