KHULNA, Aug 6, 2026 (BSS) - Khulna City Corporation (KCC) administrator Nazrul Islam Manju today inspected the ongoing cleanliness campaign across the city aimed at preventing the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes and curbing the spread of dengue and chikungunya.

During the inspection, Manju visited Goborchaka Main Road and its adjoining lanes, the areas surrounding Shahinur Jame Mosque, Goborchaka Shahabari Mor, Purba Baniakhamar BK Main Road, Baitun Najat Mosque Road and Tutpara Hajibagh Lane.

He also reviewed drainage and waste management activities being carried out as part of the citywide campaign.

Later, the KCC administrator inspected drainage improvement works in Ward No. 28.

Among others, KCC Chief Waste Management Officer Engineer Md Anisur Rahman, Conservancy Officer Md Ohiduzzaman Khan, former councilor Majeda Khatun, social workers SM Asaduzzaman Murad, Hasan Mehdi Rizvi, Mohibullah Shamim, Ishaq Talukder, Abdul Jabbar, Sardar Robiul Islam Robi, Meshkat Ahmed and Mohammad Ali, along with ward officials and local residents, were present during the visit.
