MAGURA, July 14, 2026 (BSS) - A preparatory meeting was held in Magura today to observe 'July Martyrs' Day' on July 16 and 'July Mass Uprising Day 2026' on August 5 with due solemnity.

The meeting was held this morning at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room with Deputy Commissioner Md Motakabbir Ahmed in the chair.

Family members of the July Martyrs, officials from various government departments, political leaders, and other prominent figures participated in the meeting. Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) from the district's three upazilas also joined the meeting via video conference.

During the meeting, various programmes were finalized to observe the days with due solemnity. The speakers emphasized the importance of observing the days while upholding the spirit of the July Mass Uprising.

They sought cooperation from all to ensure the successful observance of the days.
