BAGERHAT, June 06, 2026 (BSS)- A mosquito eradication and cleanliness campaign has been held in Mollahat upazila of Bagerhat here today aimed at preventing the outbreak of mosquito-borne diseases including dengue and increasing public awareness.

A colorful awareness procession was brought out by the Mollahat upazila administration on this occasion. The rally visited various important roads and ended at the Upazila Health Complex premises.

UNO Sumona Airin, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Ten Mong, local BNP leader Sheikh Hafizur Rahman and Sheikh Harun Al Rashid were present among others,

Participants in the procession carried banners and festoons with various messages to increase public awareness about dengue. 

UNO Sumona Airin said urged all to keep their homes, courtyards and workplaces clean and be careful about the dengue breakout. 

Speakers emphasized on building a mosquito-free and clean society through awareness building and coordinated initiatives.
