RAJSHAHI, June 6, 2026 (BSS)- Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) held a views-exchange meeting to utilize the expertise of the retired police officers in improving the law-and-order situation in Rajshahi metropolis, controlling drugs and mugging, and curbing crime.
The meeting was held this afternoon in the conference room of the RMP headquarters. It was chaired by RMP Commissioner Mohammad Faizul Kabir.
The meeting discussed strengthening overall security in the metropolis, preventing crime, and making community policing activities more effective.
Emphasis was placed on applying the long professional experience of retired police officers to current policing activities.
The retired police officers present at the meeting assured their full cooperation in maintaining law and order, controlling drugs and mugging, and ensuring social security.
They also called for their involvement in community policing activities.
Also present at the meeting were the RMP Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters), Deputy Police Commissioner (Force), Special Police Superintendent (CTSB), the RMP spokesperson and Deputy Police Commissioner (Crime and CTTC), Additional Deputy Police Commissioner (Headquarters), and retired police officers of Rajshahi.
At the end of the meeting, the participants expressed their commitment to work together in a coordinated manner in future.
